About The Position
Serves as a member of the front-line production team, performing various tasks that support production at a high-capacity commercial laundry plant and help meet customer needs. Work may involve dryer operation, wash operation, stain washing, sewing or mending, soil sorting, folding, commercial ironing, packing, and distributing.
Responsibilities
- Maintains the flow of linen into tunnels, washers, dryers, and other equipment.
- Pulls bags and/or processes other laundry activities in the designated order.
- Loads linen into empty pockets in the tunnel and continues loading as pockets transfer.
- Keeps pockets correctly loaded with the proper load size and prevents overloading.
- Follows directions and safety precautions.
- Maintains production standards as determined per hour.
- Notifies the supervisor when frequent technical problems affect the ability to meet production standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
