About The Position

Serves as a member of the front-line production team and performs various tasks that support production at a high-capacity commercial laundry plant to meet customer needs. Work may involve soil sorting, weigh-in, dryer or wash operation, stain washing, sewing or mending, folding, commercial ironing, packing, and distributing. Qualified candidates must be able to perform the position’s essential functions satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the flow of linen into tunnels, washers, dryers, and related equipment.
• Pull bags and/or process other laundry activities in the designated order.
• Load linen into empty pockets in the tunnel and continue loading as pockets transfer.
• Keep pockets correctly loaded with the proper load size and prevent overloading.
• Follow directions and safety precautions.
• Meet hourly production standards.
• Notify a supervisor if frequent technical problems affect the ability to meet production standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
