About The Position

The Knoxville plant is hiring Plant Professionals for its food processing production facility in Knoxville, Iowa, which produces dry sausage items, including PILLOW PACK® pepperoni. Employees learn and perform a wide variety of jobs across the plant, including machine operation, forklift operation, packaging, boxing, and palletizing. They verify product quality and accuracy while prioritizing employee safety and food safety. Openings are available on days, nights, and overnights. Weekend work is required, and overtime opportunities are available. The work takes place in a refrigerated environment averaging 40 degrees Fahrenheit. New employees begin with a three-month probationary period during which attendance and performance are closely monitored. Management may move employees to a different open position within the facility during probation to meet business needs.

Requirements

Ability to read and write to complete job-related paperwork.
Willingness and ability to drive a forklift consistent with company standards.
Ability to use a computer to complete job-related tasks.
Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions throughout a shift.
Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds or more as required during a shift.
Ability to twist and bend as needed to perform job-related tasks.
Ability to kneel, squat, or climb as needed to complete job-related tasks.
Ability to perform grasping and pinching motions to complete job-related tasks.
