About The Position

Serves as a member of the front-line production team, performing various tasks that support a high-capacity commercial laundry plant and help meet customer needs. Available positions may include soil sorting, dryer operation, wash operation, stain washing, folding, commercial ironing, packing, and distributing.

Soiled linen shifts run from 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Production floor shifts run from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The plant is located between Fultondale and Tarrant at 120 County Shop Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35217.

Requirements

• Follow directions and safety precautions.
• Meet production standards as determined per hour.

Responsibilities

• Pull bags and/or process other laundry activities in the designated order.
• Sort soiled linen into proper buggies.
• Follow directions and safety precautions.
• Maintain production standards as determined per hour.
• Notify the supervisor if frequent technical problems are affecting the ability to meet production standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
