About The Position

Theory, issues and strategies of assessment for learning; examination of the Ontario Curriculum grading and reporting policies; development of assessment and grading strategies based on the Ontario Curriculum; competence in the use of technology must be demonstrated. In Teacher Education, Hybrid means that all courses include ten in-person sessions offered on campus at the University of Ottawa (30 in-person instructional hours) and two online course modules, delivered through Brightspace, which provide the equivalent of 6 instructional hours.

Requirements

• Masters degree in education
• Qualification in a field related to teaching in schools in Ontario
• Recent experience in teaching in a school or working in administration of a school board at the Primary Junior level
• Knowledge of the current Ontario Curriculum and of the Ethical Standards and Standards of Practice of the Ontario College of Teachers
• The University may consider experience or qualifications equivalent to those set out above.
• An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
