About The Position
The Pizza Maker prepares pizzas and other menu products to Domino’s Pizza specifications, stocks and rotates ingredients, assists customers with orders by phone and in person, and helps maintain a clean and sanitary store. The role may include bringing customers’ orders to their cars in all weather conditions. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. The job involves working in changing temperatures and around food odors, cornmeal dust, hot oven surfaces, sharp edges, moving mechanical parts, and cramped areas such as walk-in coolers. Physical work includes standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, occasional climbing, bending, crouching, and frequent reaching and hand use.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to understand and provide correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and coworkers to process orders by phone and in person.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and use a calculator if needed.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements with the eyes, hands, and fingers.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Ability to work alone and with others, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality standards, and make judgments and decisions.
- Ability to perform the described physical tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, and occasional climbing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare pizzas, pasta, wings, desserts, sandwiches, and sides to Domino’s Pizza specifications.
- Stock ingredients and supplies from delivery areas to storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers.
- Rotate stock using FIFO, date products, and move soda from storage to coolers.
- Take and receive phone calls and take customer orders in person at the front counter or pickup windows.
- Bring customers’ food to their cars in all weather conditions.
- Clean and sanitize the store, including sweeping and mopping, cleaning coolers, taking out trash, and washing dishes.
- Unload and move deliveries using a hand truck and place supplies on shelves.
