About The Position

The Pit Technician inspects and lubricates vehicles quickly and thoroughly while providing professional, efficient customer service. The role supports the company’s mission and core values and contributes to the success of the functional team. The technician completes work accurately while customers remain in their vehicles, performs multi-point inspections, and identifies additional repairs needed.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screen.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Willingness to work Saturdays.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including prolonged standing, stooping, and bending; exerting the specified levels of force; and working at a production-rate pace involving constant pushing and/or pulling of materials.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Complete work accurately and quickly while allowing customers to remain in their vehicles.
• Perform multi-point inspections.
• Advise the service consultant or technician of additional work needed.
• Service grease fittings, universal joints, and steering knuckles using a hand-operated or compressed-air-powered grease gun.
• Inspect fluid levels of rear differentials and rear axle housings.
• Inspect vehicles for additional repairs needed.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the company’s vision, mission, and core values in interactions with customers, co-workers, managers, and suppliers.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
