Pickup Curbside Clerk Part Time

About The Position

The Pickup Curbside Clerk fulfills customers’ online curbside orders and helps create a convenient, accurate, and friendly pickup experience. The role involves shopping orders throughout the store, verifying and bagging items, staging orders safely, collecting payment, and assisting customers at the Meijer Pickup area. The clerk also keeps the curbside area ready for pickups and supports other operational tasks as needed. Training is provided.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Minimum of 1 year of experience.
Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
Able to follow procedures efficiently and consistently.
Able to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail experience preferred.
Past cashier experience preferred.
Past online ordering experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, accurate service at the curbside pickup area and collect payment.
Greet customers in person and by phone, and respond to their questions and needs.
Maintain positive working relationships with customers, store team members, and leadership.
Resolve customer concerns promptly, partnering with leadership when needed.
Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
Select items throughout the store, scan and verify products, and bag them according to standards.
Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
