About The Position

The Digital Clerk fulfills customers’ online curbside orders and helps create a smooth, friendly pickup experience. The role involves shopping orders throughout the store, verifying and bagging items, staging orders safely, and providing service at the Meijer Pickup area, including collecting payment. The clerk receives workflow through a dashboard, responds to customer needs, resolves concerns with leadership when appropriate, and helps keep the curbside area ready for pickups.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
At least 1 year of experience.
Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
Able to follow procedures efficiently and consistently.
Able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail experience.
Past cashier experience.
Past online ordering experience.

Responsibilities

Fulfill customers’ online orders quickly and accurately.
Provide courteous, friendly service at the curbside pickup area and collect payment.
Greet customers in person and by phone and respond to their questions and needs.
Maintain positive working relationships with customers, store team members, and leadership.
Resolve customer concerns promptly, partnering with leadership when needed.
Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
Select items throughout the store, scan and verify products, and bag them according to standards.
Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
