About The Position
This is a temp-to-hire position for a 3rd Shift Picker Packer. The role involves operating within specific systems to pick items, maintaining accuracy, and handling exceptions according to quality control procedures. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to all safety guidelines is required. The position offers opportunities for pay increases and conversion to full-time, permanent status after a 90-day probationary performance review.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs throughout shift
- Ability to follow all safety guidelines
Responsibilities
- Operate within the GreyOrange or Jennifer systems to pick items
- Maintain accuracy by verifying book titles, quantities, and item condition
- Handle exceptions such as damaged, missing, or oversized items by adhering to Lakeside Book Company’s quality control procedures
- Follow all safety guidelines, including safe lifting and handling procedures
