Temp-to-Hire Picker Packer - 1st Shift
About The Position
This is a temp-to-hire position for a Picker Packer on the 1st shift. The role involves operating within specific warehouse systems to pick items, ensuring accuracy in verification of titles, quantities, and item conditions. The position requires handling exceptions for damaged, missing, or oversized items according to quality control procedures and adhering to all safety guidelines, including safe lifting and handling. The job is located at 700 Airtech Parkway, Plainfield, IN 46168. Upon successful completion of a 90-day probationary performance review, employees are eligible for full-time, permanent status.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs throughout shift
- Ability to follow all safety guidelines
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Responsibilities
- Operate within the GreyOrange or Jennifer systems to pick items
- Maintain accuracy by verifying book titles, quantities, and item conditions
- Handle exceptions such as damaged, missing, or oversized items by adhering to Lakeside Book Company’s quality control procedures
- Follow all safety guidelines, including safe lifting and handling procedure
