About The Position
Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Temp-to-Hire Picker Packer for our 1st Shift. This role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to keeping the world reading by ensuring accurate and efficient order fulfillment. This position offers the opportunity for pay increases and conversion to full-time, permanent status after a 90-day probationary performance review.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs throughout shift
- Ability to follow all safety guidelines
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Responsibilities
- Operate within the GreyOrange or Jennifer systems to pick items
- Maintain accuracy by verifying book titles, quantities, and item conditions
- Handle exceptions such as damaged, missing, or oversized items by adhering to Lakeside Book Company’s quality control procedures
- Follow all safety guidelines, including safe lifting and handling procedures
