About The Position

The Pick and Pack Associate is responsible for efficiently and accurately fulfilling daily product orders. Using order sheets through computer software, the associate picks wound care and skin care products, packs them, and prepares them for shipment. The role also supports receiving and storing freight, moving materials, replenishing stock, and maintaining an organized, clean, sanitary, and safe work area while following good manufacturing and safety practices. Gentell is a vertically integrated wound care company focused on improving quality of life for people who are injured, chronically ill, or near the end of life.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• At least 1 year of picking and packing experience is listed under desired minimum qualifications.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work harmoniously with a diverse range of people.
• Proficiency with tools required for the position.
• Physical agility and dexterity.
• Proficient organizational skills.
• Ability to meet customer order specifications accurately and on time.
• Good computer skills.
• Ability to stand for at least 8 hours a day and reach, bend, twist, squat, lift and carry up to 25 pounds, load and push boxes on a cart or dolly, and move throughout the facility.
• Ability to read, listen, speak, type, operate computer equipment, and use a keyboard and mouse or mouse pad.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with shipping software is preferred.
• Forklift use may be assigned if the employee is properly trained and certified.

Responsibilities

• Assemble boxes.
• Bundle products into packs.
• Pull and pack products based on daily orders.
• Verify quantities and item codes before shipment.
• Generate shipping labels using software.
• Ensure correct shipping information is inserted or attached.
• Seal and tag containers, confirm order accuracy, and sign pick tickets.
• Move completed orders to the shipping area.
• Receive incoming freight and store materials in appropriate areas.
• Operate a forklift, if properly trained and certified, to load and unload trucks and move materials throughout the facility.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes using a continuous improvement mindset.
• Follow good manufacturing practices and required work safety practices.
• Maintain an organized, clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
• Assist with replenishing stock, taking inventory, and reporting shortages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
