Piano Teacher - Guilderland Music Academy (W2, Benefits Available)
About The Position
One Music Schools is seeking an experienced piano teacher to teach at Guilderland Music Academy, its New York studio. The role involves teaching 30-minute lessons, assessing new students, creating lesson plans, preparing students for recitals, and helping learners achieve their goals. Teachers communicate with parents and guardians about student progress. The school’s administrative team handles scheduling, marketing, billing, and event planning so teachers can focus on instruction. The position offers flexible scheduling, performance opportunities, paid training and career development, and a creative studio environment. A minimum one-year teaching commitment is required. Compensation is $25–$33 per hour.
Requirements
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with people of all ages and skill levels.
- Demonstrate teaching ability and instrument skill during an interview.
- Commit to teaching with the school for at least one year.
- Submit a music-specific resume.
Nice To Haves
- A degree in Music Education or Music Performance.
- Ability to teach additional instruments, such as guitar, voice, ukulele, violin, cello, or drums.
- Experience teaching; first-time teachers are also welcome.
