About The Position
Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician to provide independent clinical care in a collaborative, modern urgent care environment in Imperial. The role offers flexible scheduling, with 8- or 12-hour shifts, and access to state-of-the-art centers equipped with imaging, labs, and Epic EMR. Physicians work with radiologic technologists, experienced medical assistants, and advanced practitioners, including supervising and collaborating with PAs and NPs. The position is part of the Mercy-GoHealth urgent care network and includes opportunities to expand professional experience and use advanced clinical training.
Requirements
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds.
- Active state medical license.
- Two years of post-residency clinical experience; urgent care or emergency medicine experience is ideal.
- Experience treating patients across all age groups.
- Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers.

Responsibilities
- Examine and treat patients with acute conditions.
- Take medical histories and order diagnostic tests.
- Make diagnoses and prescribe medications.
- Perform minor procedures and administer vaccinations.
- Document patient progress and coordinate follow-up care.
- Supervise and collaborate with PAs and NPs, including remote supervision and credentialing support.
