About The Position

Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated, compassionate Physician to work in Springfield and Joplin, Missouri. The role offers flexible scheduling in a collaborative, modern clinical environment. Physicians independently provide a broad range of urgent care services and work with advanced practice providers in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting, using modern facilities equipped with imaging, labs, and Epic EMR.

The compensation package includes a sign-on bonus of up to $75,000, a monthly volume bonus based on patient metrics, and a quarterly bonus of up to 5% of base salary tied to patient satisfaction and quality outcomes. Benefits begin on day one and include health, dental, and vision coverage, a CME allowance, retirement plans with employer contributions and matching, and professional liability coverage. Relocation assistance may be available if applicable, and the role is eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.

Requirements

• Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds.
• Active state medical license.
• At least 2 years of post-residency clinical experience.
• Experience treating patients across all age groups.
• Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers.

Nice To Haves

• Clinical experience in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat patients with acute conditions.
• Take medical histories and order diagnostic tests.
• Make diagnoses and prescribe medications.
• Perform minor procedures and administer vaccinations.
• Document patient progress and coordinate follow-up care.
• Supervise and collaborate with physician assistants and nurse practitioners, with remote supervision and credentialing support.
• Work 8- or 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting.
