About The Position
Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated, compassionate Physician to provide urgent care services at its Chesterfield location. The physician independently evaluates and treats patients with acute conditions across all age groups, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, makes diagnoses, prescribes medications, performs minor procedures, administers vaccinations, documents patient progress, and coordinates follow-up care. The role also includes supervising and collaborating with physician assistants and nurse practitioners, with remote supervision and credentialing support. Physicians work 8- or 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting at modern centers equipped with imaging, labs, and Epic EMR, alongside radiologic technologists, medical assistants, and advanced practitioners. Requirements
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds.
- Active state medical license.
- At least 2 years of post-residency clinical experience; urgent care or emergency medicine experience is ideal.
- Experience treating patients across all age groups.
- Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers.
