About The Position
Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician to join its team in Imperial. The role offers flexible scheduling options in a collaborative, modern clinical environment. Physicians independently provide a wide range of clinical services in a fast-paced, patient-focused urgent care setting, working 8- or 12-hour shifts. The physician examines and treats patients with acute conditions, takes medical histories, orders diagnostic tests, makes diagnoses, prescribes medications, performs minor procedures, administers vaccinations, documents patient progress, and coordinates follow-up care. The role also includes supervising and collaborating with PA/NPs, with remote supervision and credentialing support. Mercy-GoHealth describes its centers as modern, state-of-the-art facilities equipped with imaging, labs, and Epic EMR. The staffing model includes radiologic technologists, experienced medical assistants, and advanced practitioners. The position is part of a partnership between GoHealth Urgent Care and Mercy.
Requirements
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds.
- Active state medical license.
- Two years of post-residency clinical experience; urgent care or emergency medicine experience is ideal.
- Experience treating patients across all age groups.
- Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers.
