About The Position

Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician to join its team in Festus. The role provides independent clinical care in a collaborative, modern urgent care environment, with flexible scheduling options and 8- or 12-hour shifts. The Physician examines and treats patients with acute conditions, orders diagnostic tests, makes diagnoses, prescribes medications, performs minor procedures, administers vaccinations, documents patient progress, and coordinates follow-up care. The Physician also supervises and collaborates with physician assistants and nurse practitioners, with remote supervision and credentialing support. Centers are equipped with imaging, labs, and Epic EMR, and use a supportive staffing model that includes radiologic technologists, experienced medical assistants, and advanced practitioners.

Requirements

• Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds.
• Active state medical license.
• Two years of post-residency clinical experience; urgent care or emergency medicine experience is preferred.
• Experience treating patients across all age groups.
• Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers.

Responsibilities
