About The Position
Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician to join its team in Fenton. The physician will independently provide a wide range of clinical services in a collaborative, modern, patient-focused urgent care setting. The role includes working 8- or 12-hour shifts and collaborating with advanced practice providers, including remote supervision and credentialing support. Centers are equipped with imaging, labs, and Epic EMR, and the staffing model includes radiologic technologists, experienced medical assistants, and advanced practitioners. The position offers flexible scheduling options.
Requirements
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds.
- Active state medical license.
- Two years of post-residency clinical experience, ideally in urgent care or emergency medicine.
- Experience treating patients across all age groups.
- Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers.
Responsibilities
- Examine and treat patients with acute conditions.
- Take medical histories and order diagnostic tests.
- Make diagnoses and prescribe medications.
- Perform minor procedures and administer vaccinations.
- Document patient progress and coordinate follow-up care.
- Supervise and collaborate with physician assistants and nurse practitioners, including remote supervision and credentialing support.
