About The Position
Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician to join its team in Des Peres. The position offers flexible scheduling in a collaborative, modern clinical environment. Physicians work 8- or 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting and independently provide a broad range of urgent care services. They also supervise and collaborate with physician assistants and nurse practitioners, with remote supervision and credentialing support. The centers have imaging, labs, Epic EMR, and support from radiologic technologists, medical assistants, and advanced practitioners.
Requirements
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds.
- Active state medical license.
- Two years of post-residency clinical experience.
- Experience treating patients across all age groups.
- Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers.
Nice To Haves
- Clinical experience in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting is described as ideal.
Responsibilities
- Examine and treat patients with acute conditions.
- Take medical histories and order diagnostic tests.
- Make diagnoses and prescribe medications.
- Perform minor procedures and administer vaccinations.
- Document patient progress and coordinate follow-up care.
- Supervise and collaborate with PAs and NPs, including remote supervision.
