About The Position

Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician to provide care in a collaborative, modern urgent care environment. The physician independently provides a wide range of clinical services, including evaluating and treating acute conditions, ordering diagnostic tests, diagnosing and prescribing medications, performing minor procedures and vaccinations, documenting patient progress, and coordinating follow-up care. The role also includes supervising and collaborating with physician assistants and nurse practitioners, with remote supervision and credentialing support. Work is performed in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting on 8- or 12-hour shifts.

The role offers flexible scheduling options, a competitive compensation package, a sign-on bonus of up to $25,000, monthly volume bonuses based on patient metrics, and a quarterly bonus of up to 5% of base salary tied to patient satisfaction and quality outcomes. The position is eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness. Centers are equipped with imaging, labs, and Epic EMR and supported by radiologic technologists, medical assistants, and advanced practitioners.

Requirements

• Board-certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds.
• Active state medical license.
• Two years of post-residency clinical experience.
• Experience treating patients across all age groups.
• Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers.

Nice To Haves

• Clinical experience in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting.

Responsibilities
