About The Position
Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician to join its team in St. Louis, Missouri. The role offers flexible scheduling in a collaborative, modern clinical environment. Physicians independently provide a broad range of urgent-care services and work with advanced practice providers in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting. Shifts are 8 or 12 hours. The position offers competitive compensation, a sign-on bonus of up to $25,000, monthly volume bonuses, and quarterly bonuses of up to 5% of base salary tied to patient satisfaction and quality outcomes. Benefits begin on day one and include health, dental, and vision coverage, a CME allowance, retirement plans with employer contributions and matching, professional liability coverage, and, if applicable, relocation assistance. The role is eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness. Centers are equipped with imaging, laboratories, and Epic EMR, with support from radiologic technologists, experienced medical assistants, and advanced practitioners.
Requirements
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds.
- Active state medical license.
- Two years of post-residency clinical experience.
- Experience treating patients across all age groups.
- Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers.
Nice To Haves
- Urgent care or emergency medicine experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Examine and treat patients with acute conditions.
- Take medical histories and order diagnostic tests.
- Make diagnoses and prescribe medications.
- Perform minor procedures and administer vaccinations.
- Document patient progress and coordinate follow-up care.
- Supervise and collaborate with physician assistants and nurse practitioners, including remote supervision and credentialing support.
