About The Position

Capital Health is seeking a dedicated OB-GYN Hospitalist to join its Women’s Health team in New Jersey. The physician will provide hospital-based obstetric and gynecologic care in the fast-paced Labor and Delivery environment, using a collaborative, patient-centered approach. The role includes structured shifts with 24/7 OB coverage, with the option of 12- or 24-hour shifts, and has no outpatient clinic responsibilities.

Requirements

• MD or DO with completion of an OB-GYN residency.
• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• New Jersey medical license or eligibility for one.
• Proven experience in labor and delivery management.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in labor, managing routine and high-risk deliveries.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies.
• Collaborate with nurses, midwives, MFM specialists, and anesthesiologists.
• Perform triage and evaluate patients presenting to the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Perform surgical interventions, including cesarean sections and operative vaginal deliveries.
• Manage postpartum care during the critical early hours.
• Manage OBGYN emergency patients.
