About The Position

Fox Chase Cancer Center, a nationally ranked cancer care hospital in Philadelphia and an integral part of Temple Health, is seeking an experienced Hospitalist to cover per diem overnight shifts. This role is for coverage during vacations or sick calls of the current staff. The position offers unparalleled access to a vast network of physicians, specialty clinical care, and groundbreaking clinical trials and treatments.

Requirements

• MD or DO with Internal Medicine or Family Medicine training.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, as applicable.
• Active Pennsylvania medical license.
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hospital environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Hospitalist.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight hospitalist coverage for admitted patients.
• Evaluate and manage patients requiring inpatient medical care.
• Handle approximately 0-3 admissions per night.
• Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Complete accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Ensure continuity of care and appropriate handoffs to the daytime hospitalist team.
