About The Position

Capital Health is seeking a dedicated OB-GYN Hospitalist to join its Women’s Health team in New Jersey. The physician will provide labor and delivery care, including routine and high-risk deliveries, obstetric emergency response, patient triage and evaluation, surgical interventions, and early postpartum care. The role works within a collaborative care team and offers structured 12- or 24-hour shifts with 24/7 OB coverage. There are no outpatient clinic responsibilities. The position also includes managing OB-GYN emergency patients.

Requirements

• MD or DO with completion of an OB-GYN residency.
• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• New Jersey medical license or eligibility for one.
• Experience managing labor and delivery.
• Team-oriented approach and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in labor, managing routine and high-risk deliveries.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies.
• Collaborate with nurses, midwives, MFM specialists, and anesthesiologists.
• Triage and evaluate patients presenting to the labor and delivery unit.
• Perform cesarean sections and operative vaginal deliveries.
• Manage postpartum care during the critical early hours.
• Work structured 12- or 24-hour shifts as part of 24/7 OB coverage.
• Manage OB-GYN emergency patients.
