About The Position

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to join its established Hospitalist Program at Franciscan Health Lafayette East. The program is described as high functioning, with strong patient outcomes, high physician satisfaction, and a positive relationship with hospital administration. The role calls for a focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction, strong interpersonal skills, collaborative care, and an interest in building lasting relationships with patients, families, and the community.

The schedule is seven days on and seven days off, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The position includes outreach shifts at Crawfordsville and Rensselaer and an average census of 16 patients per day. Duties and clinical expectations include responding to Code Blues and performing intubation procedures; central line placement is preferred. The hospital has an open ICU with access to specialist consultation. The program uses the Epic electronic health record and offers collegial support from specialists. Moonlighting opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a desire to develop community ties and lasting relationships with patients and families.
• Ability to work collaboratively to coordinate and deliver patient care.
• ACLS and BCLS required.

Nice To Haves

• Central line placement experience or capability is preferred.
