About The Position

Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician to work in Festus. The physician independently provides a wide range of clinical services in a collaborative, modern urgent care environment. The role includes examining and treating patients with acute conditions, taking medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, making diagnoses, prescribing medications, performing minor procedures, administering vaccinations, documenting patient progress, and coordinating follow-up care. The physician also supervises and collaborates with physician assistants and nurse practitioners, with remote supervision and credentialing support available. Work is arranged in 8- or 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting. The centers are equipped with imaging, laboratories, and Epic EMR, and have a supportive staffing model that includes radiologic technologists, experienced medical assistants, and advanced practitioners. Requirements

Board certification in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med/Peds.
Active state medical license.
Two years of post-residency clinical experience; urgent care or emergency medicine experience is preferred.
Experience treating patients across all age groups.
Proficiency in minor procedures such as suturing and splinting, and in reading EKGs and X-rays.
Strong communication and listening skills.
Comfort collaborating with advanced practice providers.
