About The Position

The staff physician float is a clinic-based role providing direct patient care across the market. The physician assesses patients and provides treatment while delivering an exceptional, reassuring patient experience. The position is part of a dedicated clinical team and calls for strong problem-solving and leadership skills. The physician collaborates with therapists and specialists to support optimal clinical outcomes and case closure, maintains relationships with center clients and payers, and fosters a professional, safe, collaborative environment focused on quality care and continuous improvement. Training in Occupational Medicine is provided, with an orientation customized to the physician’s needs. The role also offers the opportunity to teach residents and students. The position is advertised with a four-day work week. Many clinics offer weekday hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no nights, weekends, holidays, or call. Schedules may vary by clinic.

Requirements

Active and unrestricted license.
Unrestricted DEA license and dispensing license for the state of jurisdiction, required before the start date.
Must be eligible to participate in Medicare.

Nice To Haves

FMCSA NRCME certification, or willingness to obtain certification through Concentra’s DOT training program.
