Primary Care Physician - Internal or Family Medicine - Paid Housing
About The Position
The physician provides a full scope of outpatient primary care services in either internal medicine or family medicine. Services include diagnosis, treatment, care coordination, preventive care, and health maintenance. Patient volume varies based on appointment type and patient needs, and visits are prepared and supported by dedicated clinical assistants. The practice uses an electronic health record (EHR). The position is with an Indian Health Service clinic in Whiteriver, Arizona, serving a vulnerable patient population alongside a team of experienced clinicians. For physicians who live more than 60 miles from the clinic, the organization provides fully paid, furnished housing near the office and a company car. The role is a 1099 position and offers $150 per hour, malpractice coverage, and paid housing as applicable.
Requirements
- Active medical license in any state.
- DEA registration.
- Board eligibility or board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- At least 2 years of practice experience.
Responsibilities
- Review patient histories.
- Perform physical examinations.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment and patient care.
- Refer patients to specialists as needed.
- Review test results and recommend management.
- Prescribe medications.
- Formulate treatment and disease management plans.
- Communicate with the clinical team to ensure delivery of care.
- Provide outpatient primary care, including preventive care, health maintenance, and care coordination.
