About The Position

The primary care physician provides a full scope of outpatient primary care services in either internal medicine or family medicine. Services include diagnosis, treatment, care coordination, preventive care, and health maintenance. The physician sees an average of 10 to 12 patients per day, with visits prepared and supported by dedicated clinical assistants. The practice uses an EHR. For physicians who live more than 60 miles from the clinic, fully paid and furnished housing near the office is provided.

Requirements

• California medical license.
• DEA registration.
• Board eligibility or certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• At least 2 years of practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Review patient histories.
• Perform physical examinations.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment and patient care.
• Refer patients to specialists as needed.
• Review test results and recommend management.
• Prescribe medications.
• Formulate treatment and disease management plans.
• Communicate with the clinical team to ensure complete delivery of care.
