About The Position

Jupiter Medical Center is hiring a Primary Care Outpatient Physician in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. The role is suited to a physician committed to compassionate, patient-centered care. Patients are seen in the office, and hospital rounding is required. The physician maintains timely, accurate, and detailed medical records using E Clinical Works (ECW), prescribes medication or therapy when appropriate, recommends lifestyle changes, explains procedures and test results, and provides patients with details of their care plans. The physician consults with other doctors about patient needs, participates in tumor boards and multidisciplinary clinics, and serves on the hospital Medical Staff and related committees when requested. The role also involves supporting patient satisfaction and team goals, and participating in business development and marketing activities to grow the practice. The role requires an understanding of the physician practice environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates may be new graduates or experienced physicians. Annual threshold requirements include Joint Commission education, in-service and health requirements, attendance at new employee orientation, participation in the TB/PPD Surveillance Program, and maintenance of required professional licenses or certifications. The work can be physically demanding and may involve prolonged stooping, sitting, standing, and walking; frequently assisting with lifting patients and heavy equipment; pushing or pulling up to 40 pounds; and carrying or lifting up to 50 pounds. The physician must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, make sound decisions, and remain detail-oriented, alert, and self-motivated.

Requirements

MD or DO.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
New graduates and experienced physicians will be considered.
Understanding of the physician practice environment.
Excellent communication skills at all levels.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in a stressful environment and independently, make sound decisions, and remain detail-oriented, alert, and self-motivated.
Ability to stoop, sit, stand, and walk for long periods; frequently assist with lifting patients and heavy equipment; push or pull up to 40 pounds; and carry or lift up to 50 pounds.
Complete annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service, health, and new employee orientation requirements.
Participate in the TB/PPD Surveillance Program.
Maintain required professional licensing and/or certifications.
