About The Position

Dartmouth Cancer Center (DCC), the Geisel School of Medicine, and Dartmouth Health are jointly recruiting junior faculty pursuing careers in cancer research. Physician-scientists and clinician-investigators or clinical trialists from any clinical specialty are encouraged to apply if their basic, translational, or clinical cancer research includes a strong engineering, technology, and/or computational component. Successful applicants will be appointed as Assistant or Associate Professors in the appropriate Dartmouth department and become full DCC members. Protected research time and generous start-up packages will be provided. Members of DCC’s Translational Engineering in Cancer (TEC) research program accelerate the development and translation of practice-changing imaging and engineering technologies for cancer detection, diagnosis, treatment, and therapeutic monitoring. TEC research aligns with one or more of three themes: Surgical Image Guidance; Radiation Monitoring and Treatment; and Cellular/Molecular Sensing and Contrast. TEC members benefit from an entrepreneurial ecosystem and integration among Dartmouth’s Thayer School of Engineering, Geisel School of Medicine, and Dartmouth Health. DCC is an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with a robust clinical trials enterprise and four NCI-funded research programs: Immunology and Cancer Immunotherapy, Cancer Signaling, Genomes and Networks, Translational Engineering in Cancer, and Cancer Population Sciences. Successful applicants report to their appropriate Section Chief and Department Chair. The position remains posted until filled.
