Dartmouth Cancer Center, the Geisel School of Medicine, and Dartmouth Health are jointly recruiting junior faculty pursuing careers in cancer research. Physician-scientists and clinician-investigators or clinical trialists from all clinical specialties are encouraged to apply if they pursue basic, translational, clinical, or population-based cancer research. Successful applicants will be appointed as Assistant or Associate Professors in the appropriate Dartmouth department and become full members of Dartmouth Cancer Center. Protected research time and generous start-up packages will be provided. The role is associated with the Cancer Signaling, Genomics and Networks (SGN) research program, whose members use innovative genetic, molecular, and computational biology approaches to investigate important questions in cancer research. The program's scientific themes include Cancer Cell Biology and Biochemistry, Cancer Genomics and Computational Oncology, and Translational Oncology. SGN brings together laboratory-based scientists, pharmacologists, and surgical, medical, and radiation oncologists to advance cancer biology discoveries, promote clinical translation of laboratory findings, and bring clinical perspectives to basic and translational research. Successful applicants report to their appropriate Section Chief and Department Chair. Candidates must be board-eligible or board-certified in a cancer-related clinical specialty and eligible for medical licensure in New Hampshire and Vermont. The posting remains open until filled.
