About The Position

The Physician provides leadership and medical direction for St. Tammany Physician’s Network and assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients in accordance with generally accepted standards of medical care for the physician’s licensed specialty. The role provides input into the development of standards of care and participates in the development and support of St. Tammany Physician’s Network. The physician maintains clinic schedules as stated in the contractual agreement.

Requirements

• Must be licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners to practice medicine.
• Must hold current BLS certification through an International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR)-provided course.
• Must hold current ALS certification through an ILCOR-provided course when required by specialty.
• The ILCOR course must include a manikin check-off.
• Must possess good physical health and be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods, lift at least 20 pounds, and work with a moderate level of noise.
• Must be able to perform the listed physical activities: constant handling/feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing; frequent reaching; and occasional lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, and crouching.
