About The Position
Sutter Medical Group of the Redwoods (SMGR) is seeking a full-time Gynecologist to help launch and grow a new gynecology practice in Novato, California. This is an opportunity to help establish a women's health program, develop a surgical practice, and collaborate with an established network of primary care and specialty providers. The position is based at Sutter Novato Community Hospital. The outpatient practice focuses on medical and surgical gynecologic care and is located in a new clinic adjacent to the hospital, with access to an on-site Surgery Center for outpatient procedures. The physician may also take in-house OB hospitalist call at Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital. The practice benefits from Sutter's referral network and an integrated Epic electronic medical record across ambulatory and hospital settings. SMGR is a multispecialty medical group of more than 165 clinicians practicing in over 25 specialties throughout Sonoma County. The group describes its culture as collaborative and collegial, with teamwork, mentorship, and professional growth encouraged. It is affiliated with Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation, which provides operational and administrative support, including technology.
Requirements
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Interest in focusing on gynecology and minimally invasive gynecologic procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Robotic surgery experience or training is preferred, but not required.
- Experienced physicians are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Help launch and grow a new gynecology practice in Novato.
- Provide outpatient medical and surgical gynecologic care, with an interest in minimally invasive gynecologic procedures.
- Help establish and shape a new Gynecology department and develop a surgical practice.
- Collaborate with primary care and specialty providers in Sutter's referral network.
- Take in-house OB hospitalist call at Sutter Santa Rosa Regional Hospital, as an opportunity offered by the position.
