About The Position

As a Physician - Hospitalist, you will be an integral part of the hospital’s medical team, responsible for the comprehensive care and management of patients during their hospital stay. You will help ensure patients’ well-being and recovery by providing high-quality, evidence-based care, coordinating treatment with other healthcare professionals, and communicating with patients and their families.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Medicine.
• Current Illinois medical license.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care to patients admitted to the hospital, including initial assessments, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Collaborate with specialists, nurses, and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor and manage inpatients’ medical conditions, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to support optimal outcomes.
• Perform procedures and interventions as required, such as central line placement, intubation, and lumbar punctures.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records, including progress notes, orders, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate with patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery expectations.
• Participate in daily patient rounds, case conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings to review and coordinate care.
• Stay current with medical knowledge, research, and best practices through ongoing professional development and education.
