About The Position

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to join the Franciscan Health Dyer/Munster Hospitalist Program. The physician will help meet growing demand for hospitalist services and provide collaborative, high-quality patient care. The role calls for exceptional interpersonal skills and an interest in building strong community ties and lasting relationships with patients and their families.

This is a PRN nocturnist position with shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. as needed. Expected admission volume is 8–9 patients per shift. Swing-shift support is available most nights of the week. The position includes an open ICU with access to specialist consultation, and uses the Epic electronic health record. Internal and external moonlighting are permitted.

Requirements

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Recent experience with intubation.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications required for Code Blue and Rapid Responses.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitalist care during PRN nocturnist shifts.
• Coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care collaboratively.
• Build relationships with patients and their families and develop ties with the community.
• Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response situations.
