About The Position

Vituity is seeking a Hospital Medicine Physician to work as a nocturnist at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, California. The hospital is a 731-bed county facility and a Level I Trauma Center, STEMI Receiving Center, and Stroke Center, with medical and surgical ICUs, on-site labs and imaging, a 24/7 in-house intensivist, and all subspecialty backup available. The system’s three hospitals serve as the region’s safety net. Nocturnists typically handle 6–8 admits per night; hospitalists handle 15–17 admits per day. Vituity is a 100% physician-owned partnership led by frontline physicians. Physicians are partners from day one, with autonomy and local control, financial transparency, equity ownership, profit distributions, and career development opportunities. Clinicians are supported by Vituity’s corporate healthcare team and a network of 9,000 clinicians. The organization emphasizes shared purpose, teamwork, recognition, and improving the lives of patients and communities. The position is based in San Jose, a diverse Silicon Valley city with a tech-driven economy, cultural attractions, outdoor recreation, mild winters, and warm, dry summers. Estimated annual base compensation is $275,000–$900,000, depending on site, specialty, clinical volume, schedule, and experience.
