Physician, Neurology - Headache Medicine (San Francisco, CA)
About The Position
Sutter West Bay Medical Group is seeking a full-time, Board Certified/Board Eligible Adult Headache Neurologist to join the largest multispecialty neurology group in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established and growing Headache program with strong regional referral volume, dedicated support staff, and the ability to shape the future of comprehensive headache care. The role offers an established headache program with a dedicated team of 3 headache specialists, supported by an experienced NP and clinical staff. There is high demand with a built-in volume due to a robust referral network across San Francisco, the Bay Area, and Sutter’s Northern California system. The position involves performing procedures such as Botox, occipital nerve blocks, and SPG blocks. It is an outpatient-focused role with flexibility, combining in-person care with telemedicine for longitudinal patient management. The practice is situated in a modern setting within a new medical office building directly across from CPMC Medical Center. The physician will be part of a highly integrated neurology and neuroscience program that includes specialists in movement disorders, epilepsy, stroke and neuro-intervention, neuromuscular medicine, dementia and cognitive neurology, neuro-oncology, neuroradiology, and neuropsychology, as well as neurosurgery. Participation in regular neuroscience grand rounds and multidisciplinary case conferences is encouraged. While the primary focus will be headache medicine, there are opportunities to tailor the practice based on interests, including expanding into community-based headache clinics, incorporating general neurology, participating in inpatient consults and call (optional/variable), engaging in clinical research through the CPMC Neuroscience Research Institute, and teaching medical students and residents. Requirements
- BC/BE Neurologist
- Fellowship and/or board certification in Headache Neurology
Responsibilities
