About The Position

Sutter West Bay Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Stroke Neurologist with advanced training in Neurocritical Care or Vascular Neurology to join a premier and rapidly expanding neuroscience program in San Francisco. This is a unique opportunity to practice within a high-performing, innovation-driven environment that combines the agility of a community-based model with the resources and collaboration of a large, integrated health system. The role offers participation in a well-established Tele-Stroke Program and Northern California’s only Mobile Stroke Unit (MSU). There are opportunities across academic teaching hospitals and community-based sites, allowing for tailoring of practice and development of clinical interests within a supportive system. The position involves joining a growing team of 8 stroke and neurocritical care neurologists within a comprehensive neuroscience service line, working in state-of-the-art hospitals and clinics across San Francisco and the Peninsula. There is an opportunity to participate in e-Neuro ICU development and comprehensive stroke center initiatives with a high-acuity patient population and strong interdisciplinary support.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
  • Fellowship trained in Neuro-Critical or Vascular Neurology
  • Dynamic candidates with strong clinical competency and an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a well-established Tele-Stroke Program.
  • Participate in Northern California’s only Mobile Stroke Unit (MSU).
  • Tailor practice and develop areas of clinical interest.
  • Participate in e-Neuro ICU development and comprehensive stroke center initiatives.
  • Engage in cutting-edge research through the Sutter Research Institute and IRB infrastructure.
  • Participate in clinical trials and innovative programs, including the region’s Mobile Stroke Unit.
  • Contribute to advancing stroke and neurocritical care delivery models.
  • Deliver exceptional neurological care through innovation, clinical excellence, and patient-centered outcomes.
  • Provide robust teaching opportunities including Neurocritical Care Fellowship, residents, and medical students.
  • Engage in program development, philanthropy, and clinical innovation.
