About The Position

Sutter West Bay Medical Group is seeking a full-time, Board Certified/Board Eligible Adult Headache Neurologist to join the largest multispecialty neurology group in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established and growing Headache program with strong regional referral volume, dedicated support staff, and the ability to shape the future of comprehensive headache care. The practice setting is outpatient-focused with flexibility, allowing for a combination of in-person care and telemedicine. It is located in a modern practice setting in a new medical office building directly across from CPMC Medical Center. The role is part of a collaborative neuroscience environment with specialists in movement disorders, epilepsy, stroke and neuro-intervention, neuromuscular medicine, dementia and cognitive neurology, neuro-oncology, neuroradiology, and neuropsychology, as well as neurosurgery. There are opportunities to participate in regular neuroscience grand rounds and multidisciplinary case conferences. The clinical scope offers flexibility, allowing for tailoring the practice based on interests, including expanding into community-based headache clinics, incorporating general neurology, participating in inpatient consults and call (optional/variable), engaging in clinical research through the CPMC Neuroscience Research Institute, and teaching medical students and residents. This position is with a leading neurology program committed to innovation, collaboration, and delivering exceptional neurological care across Northern California.

Requirements

  • BC/BE Neurologist
  • Fellowship and/or board certification in Headache Neurology

Responsibilities

  • Perform Botox, occipital nerve blocks, SPG blocks, and more.
  • Combine in-person care with telemedicine for longitudinal patient management.
  • Participate in regular neuroscience grand rounds and multidisciplinary case conferences.
  • Expand into community-based headache clinics across the Bay Area (optional).
  • Incorporate general neurology (optional).
  • Participate in inpatient consults and call (optional/variable based on interest).
  • Engage in clinical research through the CPMC Neuroscience Research Institute (optional).
  • Teach medical students and residents (optional).
