Orthopedic Physician Assistant- Langhorne, PA- Per Diem
About The Position
Trinity Health Mid Atlantic - St. Mary Medical Center is looking for a Per Diem Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic practice in Langhorne, PA. Ortho experience preferred. The PA will provide coordination, planning and implementation of health-related services that best meet the needs of patients and their families as a Physician Assistant. Incorporate education plans into daily patient activity while integrating primary and secondary diagnosis. The APP will assume accountability for managing the delivery of patients and act as a patient advocate and uphold patient's rights. Will work in a collaborative team environment; consulting and referring to other Health Care professionals in our health system. At times asked to perform as a preceptor to PA's.
Requirements
- Master's Degree required
- PA License required
- BLS required
Nice To Haves
- Ortho experience preferred
- 2-4+ Years of experience preferred
Responsibilities
- APP will work as a Physician Extender, working with all orthopedic specialties.
- APP will see new patients, Post-Op, Follow up and Injection visit types.
- Schedule is 4 shifts per week.
- APPs take first primary call 1:5 weekdays/weekends rotations; Physicians cover secondary call. Includes weekend rounding.
- APP will be First Assist in Surgeries
