About The Position

Holy Cross Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a team of four physicians and one Advanced Practice Provider. This full-time role provides care in an outpatient/ambulatory setting. The ideal candidate has experience or a strong interest in Pulmonary Medicine and collaborates with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• National Advanced Practice Registered Nurse certification (APRN) or national board certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Current Physician Assistant or APRN license in the State of Florida.
• BLS/ACLS.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record.
• Experience or a strong interest in Pulmonary Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including patient histories, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic studies.
• Manage chronic conditions such as sleep apnea, COPD, and asthma.
• Provide lung cancer screening examinations, order appropriate diagnostic testing, and refer patients for appropriate follow-up.
• Evaluate and triage new patient referrals and follow-up visits.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic testing.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with collaborating physicians.
• Educate patients on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and medication management.
• Coordinate care with other providers, such as Oncology or Thoracic Surgery.
• Thoroughly and accurately document patient encounters in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory guidelines, and best-practice standards.
