The Staff or Senior Advanced Practice Provider is a member of the care delivery team and provides patient care under physician supervision and in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. The role includes managing care for patients and their families, exercising independent judgment, and building collaborative relationships to achieve patient outcomes across the continuum of care. Participants work with experienced physicians, APPs, and other healthcare professionals and receive mentorship, clinical training, and ongoing education. New graduate applicants should include a personal statement explaining their interest in a postgraduate Emergency Medicine training position with UPMC in Central Pennsylvania. The position includes professional development, collaboration, and participation in improving patient safety, quality, and satisfaction. Staff-level APPs develop their practice with guidance and feedback; Senior-level APPs must meet additional experience, performance, professional contribution, and department approval criteria. Work involves rotating 10-hour shifts, with eight 10-hour shifts per week and every other weekend required.
