About The Position
Asa Healthcare Staffing is hiring three full-time Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for a federal contract at the Federal Detention Center in downtown Miami, Florida. The contract is long-term, for up to five years. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with no nights, weekends, or on-call work. Pay is $65 per hour, W-2, with weekly pay. The start date depends on the contract award. The clinician will provide daily sick call and outpatient clinic services, including taking patient histories, conducting examinations, diagnosing and treating patients, and handling urgent and emergency care when a physician is not on site.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Florida Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
- National board certification through AANP or ANCC for Nurse Practitioners, or NCCPA for Physician Assistants.
- At least one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Current BLS certification.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Must pass a federal background check, fingerprinting, credit check, and drug screen.
Nice To Haves
- ACLS certification is preferred.
- Correctional, urgent care, or emergency room experience is a plus but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Run daily sick call and the outpatient clinic.
- Take patient histories, examine patients, diagnose conditions, and provide treatment.
- Handle urgent and emergency care when the physician is not on site.
