About The Position

This is a travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) position for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) assignment in Prescott, Arizona. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on September 21, 2026, with guaranteed 32 hours per week. The schedule is a day shift, 8x4, and the role is on-site. An active Arizona PTA license is required for submission, or the ability to provide an Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) for license approval.

Requirements

Active Arizona Physical Therapy Assistant license or eligibility to submit with ETA for license approval
PTA certification in good standing as required by state licensing
Ability to work in a LTAC setting and participate in a travel assignment
Availability for a 13-week assignment with 32 guaranteed hours per week
Day shift availability on an on-site assignment in Prescott, AZ
Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team

Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed PT, including treatment planning and progression within an LTAC setting
Document patient activity, responses to therapy, and progress toward goals; adjust plans of care as needed
Administer therapeutic exercises, gait training, functional mobility activities, and wheelchair transfers
Monitor patient status, report changes, and communicate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize care
Maintain infection control, safety protocols, and patient confidentiality in all interactions
Collaborate with PTs and other staff to ensure consistent, quality care across the patient population
