About The Position

This is a travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) assignment in Ennis, Texas, specifically within a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) nursing home setting. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week on a day shift. Requirements

Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Texas
Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting
Ability to work the day shift and travel for a 13-week assignment
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Experience in a LTAC or skilled nursing environment preferred

Responsibilities

Provide PTA services under supervision of a licensed physical therapist in a LTAC setting
Implement treatment plans through therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance and coordination activities, ROM and strength programs
Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility, including transfers and adaptive equipment use
Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and communicate changes in status to the supervising PT
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment; ensure proper equipment setup and infection control
Collaborate with nursing staff and other disciplines to support comprehensive patient care
