About The Position

This is a travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) assignment in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) style setting, which functions as a long-term care/assisted living environment. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 11/23/2026. The role involves providing physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed PT, implementing therapeutic exercises, and supporting patient mobility and functional goals. The position offers guaranteed hours and a stable shift pattern.

Requirements

  • Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in New Hampshire or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Ability to work in a LTAC/long-term care/assisted living setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; good documentation habits.
  • Availability for the 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. shift (5 days per week) and willingness to commit to a 13-week assignment with 35 guaranteed hours.
  • Travel-capable and prepared for a temporary assignment in a different location.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed PT, following the plan of care.
  • Implement therapeutic exercises, range of motion activities, gait training, mobility work, and transfer coaching.
  • Support activities of daily living and functional mobility goals as part of the rehabilitation plan.
  • Monitor patient responses to treatment, document progress, and communicate changes to the supervising PT.
  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and nursing staff to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with safety, privacy, and clinical regulations.
