About The Position

This is a travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) assignment in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting located in Franconia, New Hampshire. The contract is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 10/19/2026. The role involves providing PTA support under the supervision of a physical therapist, implementing patient care plans, and assisting patients with various therapeutic exercises and mobility tasks. Responsibilities

Provide PTA support under the supervision of a physical therapist, implementing portions of the plan of care for LTAC patients
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, range of motion, and activities to improve strength and functional mobility
Prepare treatment areas, set up equipment, apply modalities as directed, and monitor patient responses to therapy
Document patient progress in the medical record and communicate changes to the supervising PT and the interdisciplinary team
Support patient safety during mobility activities, practice proper body mechanics, and maintain infection control and equipment cleanliness
Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff, contribute to goal tracking, and participate in discharge planning as appropriate
